Board Member Biographies

John Hollansworth
Former corporate executive, John has raced Sprint and Indy cars and is now a dedicated collector of automobiles and motorcycles. He regularly participates in The Great Race, a 4,200-mile endurance race for vintage and collector cars, in his 1917 Peerless "Green Dragon." John is also a charter member of the National Advisory Board for McPherson College's Automotive Restoration Technology program.
Bruce Knox
Currently serves as director, partner and co-founder of Interactive Remarketing Inc., the largest seller of vehicles on eBay Motors. He also provides consulting services for various collector car organizations and individual collectors. Previously, Bruce was chief operating officer and chief marketing officer of eBay Motors' collector car subsidiary Kruse, Inc. Bruce has conducted educational programs for Classic Car Club of America, the Specialty Vehicle Dealers Association and other various classic car organizations.
Mike Stowe
Entrepreneur, car collector, restorer/builder and civic leader would partially describe Mike. He founded Industrial Magnetics in 1961 and sold the successful company to an employee in 1996. He next started Great Lakes Motor Works to build his own collection, teach young people entrepreneurship and work on a few customer cars. In 2001 he bought Classic Instruments, moving it from Oregon to Boyne City, Michigan, and turned it into an even more profitable business before recently selling it to his first student entrepreneur.
McKeel Hagerty
CEO of Hagerty and an avid enthusiast and collector, McKeel has judged the Federation Internationale des Vehicules Anciens (FIVA) class at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance since 2000. He sits on numerous advisory boards involved with the collector car hobby and is a member of the Young Presidents" Organization, a network of 8,000 young, global business leaders in more than 75 nations.
Ken Gross
Former director of the Petersen Automotive Museum. He is a renowned contributing automotive writer for such noted publications as Robb Report, Playboy, Popular Mechanics, The Rodder's Journal and Automotive Industries. He has served as a judge at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the Concours on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, California, and the Louis Vuitton Concours d'Elegance in New York City.
Keith Martin
Founder and publisher Sports Car Market magazine. Keith is also an automotive correspondent for SPEED Channel and an expert on collectible cars with articles and columns appearing regularly in The New York Times, Automobile and AutoWeek. He has hosted numerous specials on collector cars and co-hosted the live television coverage of the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction since 1997.
Raffi Minasian
Raffi is a freelance artist, designer, widely published illustrator and writer. He holds degrees in both Product Development and Transportation Design and his impressive twenty-year career includes aircraft interior design for Boeing, toys for Mattel and McDonald's, consumer products for Microsoft, Polaris, and Rainbird, and car designs for Toyota, Suburu, Moal Coachbuilders and The Franklin Mint. Raffi restores cars in his spare time and maintains a small collection of sports and GT (grand touring) cars.
Bob Knechel
Brings a strong background of nonprofit management, fundraising and organizational development to his work with this newly formed Foundation. As former vice president for institutional advancement at McPherson College, Bob was instrumental in revitalizing and bringing to international prominence McPherson's Automotive Restoration Technology program.
Jean Hoffman
Owner of several beautifully restored wooden boats, Jean has been fascinated with these classic crafts since her childhood in upstate New York and is particularly fond of Gar Wood and Peterson models. Jean is past president of ACBS, where she focused on youth development. She's also on the Saratoga Automobile Museum Board of Trustees, as well as owner of Stonewood Development, a real estate and construction firm.
